Returns Policy

First and foremost, all Products are Under Manufactures Warranty. All Product can be registered Directly on all Manufacture's Web Site under Product Registration.

All Power Supply's, Memory, Hard Drives, Motherboards, Cases, CPU's, Software and Cables are non-returnable.

Non-defective returns are subject to restocking fee of $25. No product may be returned after 5 days from purchase date. Store receipt is required for any return. NO CASH REFUNDS - Store Credit Only.

No Receipt - No Return.

If your product becomes defective within the manufacturer warranty period you may return it to Alex PC Tech for replacement from the manufacturer. Replacements through the manufacturer average 10-12 weeks to complete, Alex PC Tech will charge customer for shipment of item to Manufacture.

Returns Procedure

Before returning any item, you must contact our RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) department at rma@alexpctech.com within the warranty period for an RMA Number. The following information is required to issue an RMA number:

Alex PC Tech Part Number of product for which RMA number is being requested.

Reason for return of product.

Address where replacement product is to be shipped.

Telephone number where you may be reached.

Email address where RMA number should be emailed.

Optionally: Fax number where RMA number should be faxed.

Please read the following regarding our RMA policies and procedures:

Alex PC Tech will NOT accept any return without an RMA number.

Requests for RMA numbers must be made within the individual warranty periods, if any, of the products.

Please allow at least 48 hours for an RMA number to be issued.

Each RMA number is good for only one (1) item.

RMA numbers are good for (7) days only. Products must be shipped /brought back to Alex PC Tech

General Warranty

1-year manufacturer warranty on most products. A $25 restocking fee is charged for the return of each non-defective item.

Items such as services and bench fees are excluded from any kind of warranty. Read the section on Warranty Exclusions for details. Warranty's may be voided under certain conditions. The section titled Warranty Forfeiture provides details on that. All returns must be in strict accordance with Alex PC Tech’s Returns Policy & Procedure rules.

Warranty Exclusions

Shipping & Handling, labor, and service fees are non-refundable. Required down payments, if any, on cancelled orders are non-refundable. Order Cancellation fees may apply to cancelled orders. Alex PC Tech is not responsible for any damage to any other parts or property, or for personal injury as a result of using any product purchased from Alex PC Tech or as a result of defective products. Contact the product manufacturer for any recourse.

Warranty Exceptions

Special warranty rules apply to the following products and product types. Warranty Forfeiture rules remain applicable:

CPUs: All CPU sales are final. CPUs may not be returned for refund unless they are part of System or Upgrade Packages being returned in their entirety, in which case the warranty rules for Systems apply. Systems are warranted for exchange only for 14 days from date of delivery provided Returns Policy & Procedure rules are followed strictly. Warranty does not cover any physical damage caused by any use of the CPU that falls outside the CPU manufacturer's designed or intended use of the CPU, and includes, but is not limited to, overclocking of the CPU, use of the CPU without a cooling fan or adequate cooling, or the application of improper voltage to the CPU. Intel® and AMD retail boxed CPUs are warranted ONLY through their respective manufacturers.

Memory: Memory products carry a 1-year manufacturer warranty from the date of delivery. Physical damage will void all warranty. Warranty will not be honored if Returns Policy & Procedure rules are not strictly complied with.

Monitors: Monitors (CRTs, Flat panel displays etc.) carry a 1-year manufacturer warranty on generic brand monitors or a 3-year manufacturer warranty on name brand, monitors from the date of delivery. Physical damage will void all warranty. Warranty will not be honored if Returns Policy & Procedure rules are not strictly complied with.

Software: Software sales are final. Software may not be returned for refund unless it is part of a System or Upgrade Package being returned in its entirety, in which case the warranty rules for Systems or Upgrade Packages, as the case may be, apply. Alex PC Tech does not guarantee compatibility of any software with your hardware, operating system, or any other software. Alex PC Tech does not provide support for third party software.

Systems: Alex PC Tech 1-year diagnostic warranty on all systems built completely by Alex PC Tech. A 25% restocking fee applies to all system returns. Systems, when being returned, must be returned in their entirety. Incomplete returns will not be accepted. Physical damage will void all warranty. Warranty will not be honored if Returns Policy & Procedure rules are not strictly complied with.

Upgrade Packages: Incomplete returns will not be accepted. Physical damage will void all warranty. Warranty will not be honored if Returns Policy & Procedure rules are not strictly complied with.

Warranty on In-store Installations

In-store installations carry a 1-year manufacturer warranty on all parts except CPUs. CPUs are warranted for the first 60 days only. Parts may be returned within the first 5 days of purchase and installation. A $25 restocking fee is charged for the return of each non-defective item. Labor fees are non-refundable. Physical damage will void all warranty. Warranty will not be honored if Returns Policy & Procedure rules are not strictly complied with.

Warranty Forfeiture

Warranty will not be granted if Returns Policy & Procedure rules are not strictly followed. Physical damage of products will void all warranty. Warranty will also be voided if any Alex PC Tech or manufacturer serial tags, product stickers, seals, or the like, are removed, altered or tampered with. Warranty will also be voided if any mishandling, improper use, or defacing of the product that would normally void the manufacturer's warranty, has occurred. Improper or inadequate packaging of the product resulting in its damage during shipping when it is returned to Alex PC Tech for RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) purposes will also void its warranty.
